ON STUDYING THE QUALITY OF LIFE BY PATIENTS WITH BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

The author has examined life quality factors in 41 patients with mild and severe asthma hospitalized due to exacerbation. Specialized questionnaires (AQLQ, SGRQ) were used to evaluate life quality. All patients with asthma during exacerbation had lower rates of life quality. After treatment life quality rates have considerably improved. At the end of hospitalization one may observe negative correlation between the disease duration and life quality scales. The study reveals that asthma remission leads not only to improvement of clinical symptoms and positive changes in respiratory activity, but to significant increase of life quality as well.
